... it's so tediously formulaic, it never feels like more than a fourth-generation photocopy of the John Hughes template.. Considering the fact that a young girl is picking her nose on the movie poster, "The Croods" is surprisingly evolved.. It has some good moments, but it goes on too long, and not enough happens that is likely to create new memories.. There's something mildly charming about this cheerful revenge comedy's lack of any straightforward moral agenda.. A film which, if not truly sop...
